Shortcut Smores

I've never successfully managed to create a fireside Smore. I've found them quite frustrating, actually. The chocolate never really melted, the graham cracker always broke apart and fell to the ground. My marshmallow was typically burnt. So...

I found a totally great way to cheat! Here's how I do it:
  • Place several mini-marshmallows on a graham cracker square
  • Place square on a microwavable plate.
  • Heat in microwave for 8-10 seconds. (If you use a large marshmallow, it may take a couple seconds longer, but only a couple! You may want to do just a few seconds at a time... different microwaves cook slower or faster.)
  • Spread ready-made chocolate frosting on one side of a second graham cracker square.
  • Put the chocolate spread square on top of the marshmallow square, so that the chocolate and marshmallow are on the inside, graham cracker squares on the outside.
  • Eat!
It takes longer to spread the frosting than it does to "cook" your Shortcut Smore! Enjoy!
