I'm fairly certain my rhythm is somewhere between Latin and Celtic... maybe that's why I'm having difficulty!
I'm actually referring to the rhythm with which you flow in life--your groove. This has very little to do with music and far more to do with knowing yourself. I am a morning person. I always have been. But my new job has thrown my little rhythm for a big loop. I haven't seemed to find my footing yet and I've been working my new schedule for about 6 months now. Yet, I still haven't found the perfect window of time for carving out some exercise. Nor have I created my niche for settling into computer time for writing, nor my cozy reading time.
Everything seems to have been compressed. Squished, actually. So I need a new rhythm.
It's good to check in and take your pulse. Instead of simply being frustrated for a long period of time and turning into Mrs. Crankypants, I prefer taking action to learn the source of the frustration and find a solution.
So now I'm shifting to solution mode. But right now I need to grab my lunch and get to work. I guess problem-solving will become an after-dinner activity!
Here's to all of us who are seeking solutions in the clean slate of a new year. May we be blessed with creativity and ingenuity!

Wow, talk about timing, Sheri! This really resonates with me: starting a new job definitely has "squished" my time. My work is stimulating and exciting, so my biggest fear is that I will fall very quickly and easily into the mode of "all work, all the time." I need to make a conscience effort to find that "rhythm," as you call it, that includes exercise, writing, reading (for pleasure, not just business), family and friends!
